2022申請季，他來了！


又(yòu)到(dào)了8月(yuè)1日，新一(yī)輪的Common App申請系統全面開(kāi)放(fàng)，意味著(zhe)，2022er你們要數著(zhe)DDL過日子了！


Common App是美國(guó)本科申請三大網申系統之一(yī)，也是目前美國(guó)大學申請使用人數最多(duō)的系統之一(yī)，每年(nián)超過100萬學生(shēng)通(tōng)過該系統在線申請大學。

CA通(tōng)用申請系統的最大特點是，申請人隻需填寫一(yī)份申請表，包括标化成績、文書、背景活動以及推薦信等，就(jiù)可以用它來申請多(duō)所大學，可以有效節省申請大學的時間。


為(wèi)了擴大訪問範圍并促進更公平、更具包容性的大學申請過程，CA新申請系統将包括 Common App 在去年(nián)宣布的五項重大變化，這些變化将于 8 月(yuè) 1 日生(shēng)效，包括： 

1、删除關于學校紀律的問題；

2、删除軍隊退伍的問題；

3、對公民(mín)、家庭和地理問題進行修改；

4、對性别問題進行修改；

5、删除宗教偏好的問題。



此前，Common App官方宣布2021-2022申請季部分闆塊會(huì)做出調整。比如：


1、主文書第4題有改動，變成“Reflect on something that someone has done for you that has made you happy or thankful in a surprising way. How has this gratitude affected or motivated you?”

其他6道題目沒有變化，并且“額外信息”部分仍然保留COVID-19的備選問題“分享疫情對你個(gè)人和學術(shù)的影響”。



① Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
②The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
③ Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?
⑤ Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.
⑥ Describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging that it makes you lose all track of time. Why does it captivate you? What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more?

⑦ Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you've already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.


2、另外，為(wèi)了适應越來越多(duō)樣化的學生(shēng)，減少偏見(jiàn)或歧視，Common App決定修改部分個(gè)人信息問題。
比如：公民(mín)身份的選項中，“Other (non-US)” 替換成 International students 和 Undocumented/DACA students 兩個(gè)選項。
删除父母和兄弟(dì)姐妹(mèi)相(xiàng)關問題，父母的職業(yè)、學曆、就(jiù)業(yè)情況相(xiàng)關問題設置為(wèi)Optional。


性别描述部分，用詞從(cóng) “sex” 改成 “legal sex”。


另外，今年(nián)又(yòu)有一(yī)大批學校加入Common App，其中包括大家熟悉的UIUC。今年(nián)3月(yuè)份，伊利諾伊州宣布州内12所公立大學都加入Common App網申系統。
